British Council in Ethiopia

The British Council has been actively engaged in Ethiopia since 1943, fostering educational opportunities and cultural exchange. Each year, the British Council connects with thousands of students, educators, policymakers, academics, creatives, and entrepreneurs in Ethiopia. Their efforts are concentrated on empowering young people by supporting their educational attainment, qualifications, and skills necessary for future careers. Additionally, the British Council develops new networks and platforms that amplify the voices of Ethiopian youth within society.

Global Giving

Global Giving is a 501 non-profit organization based in the United States, providing a global crowdfunding platform for grassroots charitable projects. Since 2002, Global Giving has facilitated over $530 million in donations from more than 1.1 million donors, supporting over 28,000 projects in 175+ countries worldwide.

The United States President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief

Through the U.S. President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), the United States Government supports comprehensive HIV/AIDS services in Ethiopia. PEPFAR activities are implemented by USAID, HHS/CDC, and DOD, focusing on detecting, initiating, and suppressing the virus among people living with HIV/AIDS. PEPFAR's efforts include strengthening laboratory systems, strategic information collection through health management information systems (HMIS), and ensuring supply chain management.

Since its inception, PEPFAR has significantly contributed to Ethiopia's healthcare landscape by providing lifesaving antiretroviral treatment (ART), conducting voluntary medical male circumcisions, and offering HIV testing and counseling to pregnant women, orphans, vulnerable children, and their caregivers.

US Department of State’s Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration (PRM)

The Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration (PRM) is the humanitarian bureau of the State Department. PRM promotes U.S. interests by providing protection, easing suffering, and resolving the plight of persecuted and forcibly displaced people around the world. We do this by coordinating humanitarian policy and diplomacy, providing life-sustaining assistance, working with multilateral organizations to build global partnerships, and promoting best practices in humanitarian response.

Consortium of Christian Relief and Development Associations (CCRDA)

CCRDA, Ethiopia's pioneering umbrella organization of NGOs and CSOs, plays a pivotal role in coordinating and enhancing development efforts nationwide. Initially formed to respond to humanitarian crises, CCRDA has evolved to champion development agendas and promote good governance through capacity building and strategic networking.

About the Global Fund

The Global Fund emerged in 2002 as a testament to global solidarity and leadership in the face of AIDS, tuberculosis (TB), and malaria, then among the deadliest infectious diseases worldwide. Over two decades, the Global Fund partnership has deployed over US$60 billion to combat these diseases, saving an estimated 59 million lives. Their efforts have significantly reduced the death rates from these diseases by more than half in the countries where they invest, marking a profound impact on global health outcomes.

Youth Network for Sustainable Development (YNSD)

YNSD is a locally registered non-governmental organization founded with the vision of empowering Ethiopian youth to lead sustainable development efforts. Through training, partnerships, and networking, YNSD aims to foster a productive and self-reliant youth population.
